Barack Obama May Face Grand Jury Testimony Over Russiagate Allegations
Former President Barack Obama may soon be compelled to testify under oath before a grand jury — a development that could have serious legal implications.
According to investigative journalist John Solomon, new legal circumstances now make it possible for Obama to be subpoenaed in connection with his alleged role in the 2016 “Russiagate” investigation. While former presidents are generally protected by executive immunity for actions taken while in office, that protection has limits.
“He enjoys immunity for official presidential actions,” Solomon stated in a recent interview. “But if he lies under oath as a private citizen about what he did while in office, that immunity no longer applies. That’s the legal trap.”
Solomon claims that Obama was present at a White House meeting where senior officials allegedly discussed how to entrap then-incoming National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. Despite Flynn having already been cleared, officials reportedly devised a strategy to lure him into an interview, catch him in a misstatement, and pursue legal action.
Now, Solomon suggests, the former president may find himself caught in a similar legal dilemma.

Adding further weight to the controversy, former presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard released new documents on Friday alleging that the Obama administration deliberately fabricated the Trump-Russia collusion narrative to discredit Donald Trump prior to his inauguration.
In response, Trump didn’t mince words: “He’s guilty. This was treason.”
Sources within the Democratic Party reportedly admit growing concern. Several party insiders are urging Obama to remain silent as the investigation draws increased media attention.
However, with grand jury proceedings in motion — and no protection under the Fifth Amendment in this context — any misstatement under oath could dismantle Obama’s legal shield entirely.
